Q: when did first 'become' an artist .
I started rappin when i was about 9 years old. I fell in Love with Hip Hop after my dad played me "Cant See Me" by Tupac
Q: [ do you recall the day , you said -- ' this is what i wanna do , make music '?]
I remember people telling me I had talent. Thats when i knew that it was all I wanted to Do.
Q: Where, Why and How did you come up with your stage name?
My stage name in the beginning was AD, but due to copy right laws, I couldnt use it. Tha Kiid came about when I was 16 and older people heard me..They assumed i was older, the way i rapped. Once they found out I was younger. They called me The Kid. I twisted up both names and combined them into Tha Kiid AD.
Q: Are you a member of a music organization (label) , if so name?
I am apart of many musical orginization. SGE,AOB,LMKR,A2I,Top Notch,The University, 24hour boyz. A label might be on the way. I have been talking to many important people in the game.
Q: who are your musical influences?
Any one that became a Somebody from Nothing at all.
Q: who are your favorite groups?
Favorite Groups Will have to be NWA
Q: i take it your write your own music , but what gives you the inspiration ?
Women 1st. Women are the ones who really give you the support when no one else will. 2nd My everyday experiences, so the average person can relate to.
Q: whats more intriguing and creative writing lyrics or the actual singing creating melodies?
The creative of music is always the greatest. Its amazing how a person can take a ordinary beat and make it into something great.
Q: what image do you think your music conveys ?
a mixed image. You hear almost a different style from me, everytime you hear me.
Q: what do you want from your fans ?
Just keep supporting me, because the fans make the artist. I dont make music for mysef. I do it for the fans.
Q: what are your immediate music career goals?
Always stay focused and keeping a good business orientated attitude.
Q: what has been your biggest challenge has a unsigned artist?
Getting my music exposed to different states and countries.
Q: what do you want to accomplish with your music this year (2010) ?
Reach fans that I never encountered before.
Q: out of all the songs you have recorded , what is your favorite ? , what is your least favorite?
My favorite song that I recorded so far would have to be "No Break Time. The message stands for everybody thats on the grind, no matter if its music,sports, etc. Great motivational song.
Q: could you briefly describe your music- making process .
I pick out a beat that I feel the people would like, and I say what I feel the people wanna hear.
